Ex-Arsenal defender Martin Keown is not sure that Amorim is the right man to lead United in the long term after a poor season in charge of the Premier League giants. He then suggested the Red Devils swoop for Red Bull's Head of Global Soccer, Klopp, instead.

He said on talkSPORT: āThe number of games that theyāve lost, Iām still concerned that this isnāt the right manager for Manchester United. Itās going to be a very interesting start to the season, they could do a lot worse than go and get Jurgen Klopp to manage their football club. Iām not trying to sensationalise but I believe that he might do an incredible job there, they need someone there with more experience than the current manager. Why not? Heās done it once before, weāre comparing their journey now, heās done it once before but with a better foundation.ā
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Klopp will go down as an all-time Liverpool great after leading them to Champions League and Premier League glory during his nine-year stay at Anfield. And while he has ruled out a return to management anytime soon, the thought of the German taking charge of bitter rivals United seems extremely unlikely.
